Porangahau Arts Club

The Porangahau Arts Club fosters and encourages interest in arts and crafts in Porangahau and the wider rural community and bases itself at the Porangahau Country Club rooms.

Our groups currently consist of Gardening, Painting, Patchwork and Fibre.  Each group is run by its members who organise trips, tutors or visits to learn from and gain inspiration from.

We also have an Upholstery group which is in limbo as it waits for a new area to practice their craft and store their equipment.

We hold a Garden Exhibition in Orlando’s garden annually to showcase all our arts and craft creations to the public.  On the alternate years we hold a ‘Craft Workshop Weekend’ which allows existing and new members to dabble in different crafts. This weekend is held in the Club House where we can set up several different craft stations in the large space.
